President & Owner, Tom Smith, started in the contracting and insulation business over forty years ago. When the opportunity arose to add seamless gutters and Gutter Helmet® to his services, he knew it was a great fit. Tom knew the frustrations around having to clean the sticks, dirt, and leaves out of his gutters several times a year – and it was a pain!
So in 2000, the company became an authorized Gutter Helmet dealer and installer – because let’s face it, people wanted more than just a solution to their gutter problems. They also did not want anything to do with measuring and installing it! The team at Midwest Eclipse & Gutter Helmet takes care of it all.
Summers in Minnesota are short, but Tom and his team found a way to help people enjoy the season a little longer. In 2005, retractable awnings were added to their product offerings for homeowners, making patios, decks and poolside spaces enjoyable for longer periods of time. Today, we are proud to be one of the top ten dealers in the nation for Eclipse Shading Systems!
Midwest Eclipse & Gutter Helmet (previously Superior Seamless Gutters and Awnings) is proud to be a family-owned and operated company. Tom’s sons, Bryan and Justin, along with 7 other full-time employees work from the Bird Island, Minnesota headquarters.
Midwest Eclipse & Gutter Helmet serves Western Minnesota from Highway 15 West along the Okoboji area for Gutter Helmet and a broader area for Midwest Awnings including all of Minnesota, Okoboji, IA, and areas like Sioux Falls, SD.
